College Panhellenic President
Being the President of the College Panhellenic Council: The unbiased governing council over all Winthrop University Sororities, was by far the most challenging position I have ever held. Elected April of 2020, I had to lead my new council through the unknown waters of COVID-19 and how our greek community would survive and handle navigating the school year.
As CPC Exec President, I had to lead my my council of 8 sorority women as we oversaw and managed Winthrop’s female greek community. We ran all major events such as greek-wide educational events every month and hosted our campus’s formal recruitment process. Our biggest challenge this year was maneuvering within our new hybrid/virtual world. The summer leading up to the beginning of the academic year, we had to plan all major events and be able to execute them in person, virtually, or a hybrid-mix. With the CDC and Winthrop guidelines constantly changing, we were having to pivot as a team and work together to achieve our goals.
Im proud to say that even through our challenges and setbacks, CPC was able to take advantage of virtual life and keep all major programming and events during the year. We even maintained our campus-wide quota of new members and successfully grew Winthrop’s greek community while keeping our sisters, and our campus, Covid free.
