If you would have told me when starting my journalism career that I would be showing a steer in Iowa’s largest steer show, I would have asked you how a steer is different from a cow. Now, I know that answer by heart. Preparing for this show, and getting to spend time with Jenna has been the highlight of my work here in Central Iowa. This event was a fun way to really learn the importance of not only showing steer, but raising theses animals, and what it means to the families that show. This story remains an all time favorite of mine.
